Free Trip throught Trendwest, NOT!!!!

My cousin & I were told through Trendwest if we attended their seminar that we would get a trip to Vegas for FREE.It didn't turn out to be free at all.We ended up paying $500 for the trip & more.I don't trust this company at all.I have read many posts on other websites as well as this one from individuals pissed off at Casablanca Express for *** Trips, not getting refunds back, etc. Thanks for the posts as I definitely won't be answering my phone when they call regarding staying at the Riveria Hotel in Vegas for $200,etc.

Free vacations are too much work to be worth it

I received two certificates by attending a presentation: one for Legoland tickets and one for a trip to Catalina Island. I was unable to redeem either one. Apparently, Casablanca Express becomes overbooked four to six months in advance. The certificate simply instructs to schedule your trip 60 days in advance. After going to great lengths to rearrange work and family schedules, I called about 80 days in advance to schedule my trip and learn that, although i followed all the restrictions on the certificate, there is no availability. The only availability is for a time that I absolutely cannot go due to work and family obligations. This was not made known to me until it is too late to figure out an alternative. The only substitution available is a trip to Las Vegas, the last place in the world I personally want to go. The company lured me in with promises that are nearly impossible to redeem. I am a mother who works full-time and attends school part-time and my husband also works full-time. It is very difficult for us to make ends meet, let alone find time for vacation. They got our hopes up that we would finally get a short family vacation and now we are sorely disappointed. It is unethical and they should be ashamed. And they didn't even get anything out of it - just perhaps the pleasure of wasting our time and making us cry. Evil.

That is true about Casablanca Fraud, misleading service. The want to shift the blame back to time share people and said, "Time share should have explained to you" but it is not true.

They should explain to the customer firs before they take their $100 deposit. I understand this guy James try to defend his compaany but he should have used that time to contact his customer and resolve the matter. My name is Thanh Nguyen. If you read this call me at 713 259 **** or look at your record.

I had a free vacation 3 days 2 nights to Orlando, planned it along time for me my and girlfriend to spend our spring break on march 10 2014 there. I didn't hear anything from them so i called and got an ugly customer service explaining, my flight will leave monday night, arrive at midnight, when no rental car will open at the time, my hotel will a cheap motel Roadeway located 1 hours away from orland, and my return flight will be very early on wednesday. DO YOUR MATH, i have only Tuesday left for the vacation, no car,no time to enjoy. It was a set up for me to pay $400 for an upgrade.

The customer service agent respond, "Well, you get a FREE package, if you don't like, we will refund your money", They was waiting untill the last week before my travel date to send out my flight iteration and let mek now but luckily i called and confirm in advance. if i know this before, i could just use my own money to book it myself, no hassle, no waiting.

Now i had to cancel our spring vacation, getting $100 is not much comparing to all the hassle that i went through with time share, waiting, hoping,.. I'm thinking about reporting them to BBB for the fraud advertising.

think Casablanca is like every other company, there will be good and bad feedback. Needless to say for my husband & I, we have had pleasent trips.

It has been some issues but when contacting Casablanca we have always gotten great assistance in clearing the matter, our hotels have always been four stars and never had a problem with communication, refunds or perks for complaints. We have been to Kona (beach front condo), Cabo (beach front canabana), Vegas (Tropicana), Lake Tahoe (Lakeside Inn) and Reno (Atlantis). My advice to all when dealing with Casablanca is ask questions, when they offer the hotel take the time to research it and if you don't like it ask for additional options.

But most of all communication because it's your money and your vacation! Good Luck to All...California

Thieves and Cons! Worst Scam Ever!

This company will rape you and admit it like they are proud of it...Pay for your trip and enjoy it. You will pay for your FREE trip through CASA but you will not enjoy it I promise you.

Everything they tell you will be a lie. If you send them money you should kiss it goodbye. Nothing is as it appears. Your 3 day free vacation will be 1 day.

It will cost you $100 and you will stay in some nasty places!

Don't let me say I told you so. BTW, they are being investigated by the BBB.

hI Just decided to look up reviews of Casablanca to see what others thought of the Vegas vacation. I just bought a vacation from them to Vegas.

Four nights for 199.99 not including taxes. One 100.00 Discover card and a 100 food card. You get the Discover card after you hear the 90 min. talk.

Not bad for 90 minutes. We are to be staying in the new tower of the Riviera Hotel and Casino, right on the strip. No problem as far as I see. Unless things go wrong once we get there.

But I do not forsee anything going wrong. I talked a long time with the sales man who was very nice. We also get a "***" card for discounts on shows. All sounds good to me.

Now iff this does not turn out to be true.

I will be back to report it. G.W.

Just thought I'd chime in and mention the posts by "California" are canned and very likely affiliated with the company, as the same exact response can be found in other complaint threads.

The company would not accommadate my travel arrangements.

I won this trip to Las Vegas, when something came up and I could not take the trip the "Higher Ups" said to me that he could not do anything to help me or accommodate me. I asked him for my deposit back and his answer was that I could not get it back and that regardless of my situation he could do nothing to help me. I will never work with this company again and I demand my deposit back and I will take them to court for it. Do not travel through this company. I will make sure that every company I know will not travel using this company, and I would soon appreciate if they were out of business.

Casablanca Express , terrible service, bad promises

OK...so we get a so called "trip" to Catalina Island....I booked a trip for April....it's overbooked so they moved us to September....and promise to send us a notification in the mail. We never got the notification. A rude customer service agent called offering us a trip to Vegas , saying me we have a major credit card and that since we didn't respond to the September notification that was so called "sent in the mail" or trip to Catalina was voided. I asked to speak to a manager and told them I didn't want the Vegas trip and I was hung up on! wow.....follow your gut...don't deal with these people.

Casablanca Express - *** of vacation package

I was offered a free vacation in exchange of attending one of their presentation and what they offered as free was never free. There were so many upgrades you had to do on top of their basic free package and even after paying all the upgrades, at the end I still couldn't take a vacation since they did not have any availability for the dates I chose and soon it expired. They even conned me to purchase another vacation and later asked to pay extra for bringing my child when at the time of purchasing even with their recording clearly stating that I mentioned of bringing my child and their sales personnel never mention anything about having to pay extra for my child. Please do not be fooled by what seems like a good vacation at low rate. At the end, you will end up loosing your money, energy, and time. You shouldn't be too bitter when think of vacation. Casablanca Express is all about bitter memory.

Bait-and-switch is a form of fraud, most commonly used in retail sales but also applicable to other contexts. First, customers are "baited" by advertising for a product or service at a low price; second, the customers discover that the advertised good is not available and are "switched" to a costlier product.

Guest

Dear Anonymous,Your above complaint does not make sense. Casablanca does not have multiple upgrades you "have to do" and does not sell upgrades until after you have a travel date.

Also Casablanca does not "con" people to purchase packages.

I do not understand your issues. Please contact me and I will replace your bitter memory :cry with a pleasant memory :zzz James McClendon1-87*-***-**** ext.2906

Casablanca express

Casablanca Express needs to really improve on their customer service. They are horrible, rude, and need to take some extra classes on how to treat people. The meaniest is the " manager". She needs to step down and learn how to treat her customers with better respect! First rule "customer has a voice, listen, humble yourself and not yell at them. The manager who says she's in charge of it all needs to be held accountable as well. I found it weird that there was no one else besides this women to help me, where as when I went to the presentation Casablanca held there were tons of people working there. I believe she just didn't want to be held accountable.

Casablanca Express is a scam.

I should have trusted my gut. Casablanca Express called my husband and then called me the next day. Alice was pushing me for my credit card number and I gave it to her just before I checked out this website and saw all the complaints. At that time I was talking to Joel the confirmation manager who wanted me to repeat the credit card number. I told him that I changed my mind because I saw a lot of complaints against the company. He said, " OK, OK, " and hung up. I called my band immediately and there was no charge to my credit card-yet! Don't fall for this like I did!

Cassablanca Express Worst company to do business with or work for

Casablanca Express, this company does not treat its employees or customers right. I worked there for a bit all they do is lie on the phone and lie to their employees. I could not stand to work there they do not treat anyone right. They lie to give you this 100 restaurant card where indeed those ar 25 dollar certificates that require you to spend 35 before you can use them. They have no HR in place I would not work there in a nightmare again. I would not recommend you guys doing any business with them at all, period.

I worked for Casablanca Express when I was 18 years old , I'm 28 years old now . I loved my job so much my boss Mike was awesome. They are obviously doing something right if they are still in business . The people complaining are obviously people that do not know how to be responsible and follow threw with there travel itinerary which the customer picks there own dates . Or they lie on the qualifications critiria to the timeshare companies ,or to cassablanca , or they did not attend the 90 min tours . If the customers would follow threw and do they're part Casablanca does there's . I use to be a customer service rep . We treated each client with respect and honesty to the best of are ability and beyond that as well .

Thank you ,

Casablanca attempts to sell you a dream vacation, when really you are placed in a terrible, dingy, dirty and disgusting room. I would have been better off planning my own vacation.

I was specifically told that we would be staying in the new towers of the Riviera hotel in Las Vegas. The room they placed us wouldn't be appropriate for even an animal.

I am completely disgusted with Casablanca; don't waste any time booking things through them. Sitting through the timeshare meeting and still paying for pretty much everything is not worth it!

Bootomline: Casablanca Express SUCKS!!

If you still decide on doing business with them that's on you, you will learn the hard way.

Some og the managers and supposed employees that write on here are PURE Losers priding themselves on staying with a scammer company and scamming people for 20 more years. Good job, Losers I'd hide if I was you not pride myself with sucha thing. Lol what stupidos, seriously!

I started Casablanca in 1980 and have worked there for 30 years. Casablanca has over 60 employees and the average length of employment is over 6 years.

Casablanca definitely has an HR department and offers medical, dental insurance as well as a 401k plan. Over the past 30 years we have traveled over 2 million satisfied consumers. Our travel packages are the best deals in the industry, especially to Las Vegas.

Some packages include a restaurant.com card which entitles the recipient to go online and print 100 dollars of restaurant gift certificates from a selection of over 15,000 restaurants nationwide. If anyone has any issues with how they were treated as an employee at Casablanca Express or with their experience traveling with Casablanca, please contact me: James McClendon 1-87*-***-**** ext.2906

Guest

I personally feel that Casablanca attempts to assist every customer however when the company hears the same old story about dog having puppies over and over again it's kinda hard to take it with anything more than a grain of salt.

The thing that we all need to remember is that they are all human. If you honestly don't feel like your issue is not being taken seriously ask to speak to another Representative or do What I did I emailed the email address they play on their recording and I got a response FROM A LIVE PERSON, a Male representative who assisted me. Yes it took him about 10 minutes to figure out what could be done but i didn't end up with someone quoting this is our policy and have a good day.

Would I travel Casablanca again, Yes

Do I think they need to rethink their Customer Service Practices YES

However how can us as consumers expect them to know what is going on without making it aware to them??

Guest

Casablanca out of Las Vegas repeatedly called trying to get my husband to book travel with them. I told them on MANY occasions that my husband was incompetent due to liver disease and could not legally book with them.

They continued to call and apparently he booked a trip 15 days before his death. When I called and told them of his death and asked that they charged back the 39 dollar payment off the credit card they refused. This company is the biggest scam on the planet--They are so eager to make sales that they don't care what you tell them.

They are almost impossible to contact-customer service is a joke. Is there a class action lawsuit in the works for them--count me in!

Guest

Casablanca is anything BUT and an honest Company and a great place to work. Evident by all the complaints against you.

No matter what you try to say pro it..the mounting evidence speaks against it.

Maybe instead of talking about how great you are you should put some regulation into place so that you do not have all these complaints from unsatisfied customers and employees. Actions speak louder than words.

Guest

Ok I am an employee for Casablanca and I find that this place is very family orientated and to be honest WE go above and beyond for our guest, just because you've had a bad experience with 1 customer service rep doesn't mean that we are all bad and further more,we do verify you purchases with you on recording and are happy to play back EVERYTHING you agreed too. As for the "ex-employees" who are bashing this company, maybe you should've done your job right in the beginning ,CBE is a great place to work and offers wonderful services

Guest

I am reading the whole tread and I'm really sorry that these people are still in business.

It is sad that in our worn down economy businesses like these are able to take advantage of people. Its a shame.

I have told this Casablanca Express to stop calling me but they will not. They even went as far as to tell me they would like to ship me off to Iraq when I told them I was not interested. I would never do business with some one that can not take NO for an answer and tells you off if you do not go with there program. they even called withing 2 days of each other and the second guy laughed at me when I told him that I had told you people to stop calling. Nothing more - nothing less

Casablanca Express.. Is now doing something different I guess.. I got a call 3 months ago from a sales man named "Chad" and he said that If I sent them $129 dollars, he would give me 2 nights at the Rivera resort hotel - $100 Discover card, $100 in food, and that me and my wife had to sit trough the seminar in Las Vegas while on vacation.. We had no further taxes due he said... So we figured that since they give what they say they give - Nothing more nothing less.. We would take a chance... We took our trip this past week, and you know, the Rivera was pretty nice, they remodeled the hotel, The rooms were great 42" flat screen TV's, motorized curtains on the windows... Refrigerator in the room... And he was right there were no taxes.. The presentation was on the second floor of the Hotel (we dint even have to go out in the heat) - it took us less the 90 minutes - and the guy who told us "about the benifits of joining the travel club" was very funny.. There was hot coffee and donuts at the seminar ... and when we said NO we dont want to buy anything.. They handed us an envelope with a $100 pre-paid discover card... That simple... We also got this restaurant card for $100 and used that on 2 really good diners on the strip... Tuesday night we ate at Il Fornino's at the Ventetian and had breakfest at Bon Panie at The Paris hotel... I think we still have like $12 left on that restaurant card... So when we got back and thought about it... it seems that there new way of doing business is better - I mean, we spent nothing truly to go to las vegas for 3 day and 2 nights, stayed in a nice room, ate a good meal - and got a $100 discover card (which is just our $129 "deposit" that we paid when they called to sell us this originally back) Maybe this is why the are doing it like this... Makes more sense.. you know that they are going to treat you some what right on a trip like this, since you are going to the presentation in Las Vegas and could complain dirrectly to the Travel Club people... We actually are hoping that they will call us back and offer us another "free trip" .. but I think you can only take on ever year or something like that.. OH - We dint have any trouble getting the dates we wanted, they booked the dates when they sold me the trip.. Infact, the package with all there information and *** arrived in less then a week from when I ordered it.. I hadent told my wife yet when she got the mail, and got a whole long conversation while I was at work.. Bottom line though - we enjoyed the trip and it did not cost us any money for rooms and food

The restaurant gift certificate is for restaurant.com, and its not the cash value. It's a $50 gift certificate towards a $50 in gift certificates.

(Which normally cost you about $4 for $10, $10 for $25/etc..) So $50 in restaurant.com certificates are worth less than $20 and require that you make a minium purchase of at least $10 more than your certificate.

So there's no way you spent nothing and got a free meal for 2, like you said. And how does a $100 prepaid discover cover $129 fees, you like loosing $29 cash?

Guest

Sounds too positive. You don't mention your travel expenses were not included.

When I dealt with them a year ago the put on the hard sell to upgrade, describing the many limits and pitfalls of the "free" trip we were signed up for.

Today I got a telemarketing call for this package - take it now or leave it... I left it.

Casablanca Express

I found out that there free vacation to Hawaii is nothing but a scam. The try to switch you to a total 5 day vacation for $1400. When you tell them no. They schedule your flight arriving at midnight the first day with lost of transfers, then 4 am the third day leaving you 16 hour in Hawaii, if you don't sleep. Sounds bad, most people give up and cancel. I know I did. Well I just found out. This is the way to go! Take the free trip to Hawaii. Arriving late that first day, then stay in the hotel for the two nights, ask the additional night cost. I have seen some hotel in Waikiki for only $80 a night. Miss the flight home, then you try to get a stand-by ticket home, or go ahead and purchase you tickets home. The flight might cost $300 per person with reservations. Lets see, 2 night at hotel free, 5 additional night @ $80 each night. That's $1000 for 7 nights in Hawaii. That sound good for 2 people. A little hassle, but you might get it cheaper than that.

Casablanca Express Scam

Casablanca Express Scam Few months back, I received a call from a Casablanca Express representative. They sold me a two night package for some resort in Portland. This was basically for timeshare, we would need to attend some presentation where they would try to sell a timeshare membership. I have been to these before and I don't know why I do this to myself. This is just a sheer waste of time. Anyways, I tried calling the number given to me for the reservation and I always get that the resort is booked for 3-4 months. Only months available are October and November. I mean those are lousiest months to step outside your home in Seattle and Portland Area. It's mostly raining during those months. So, I spent about $155 and I can't book anything. I am so unhappy with this situation. I think this Casablanca Express thing is a pure scam. Stay away from them. I tried calling them on various occasions and they have the same answer. I have been calling them four to five months in advance. How much more notice can one give to these people. One more thing, they are very nice when they are trying to sell you something but when you want to book the reservation they are the rudest bunch. Ajsharma1,

Thank you for posting below that you received a two bedroom upgrade at no extra charge. Your difficulties receiving a travel date were due to the Sunriver, Oregon resort having extremely limited arrivals in the summer.

If anyone is experiencing difficulties of any kind with Casablanca Express please contact me for assistance.

SCAM!!! The vacation package that I bought was actually worth $99 and I bought it for $169!

A different rep apparently kept calling and didn't know that I bought the package already on THE SAME DAY!The weirdest thing was I heard a baby was crying on the background and lots of cursing while the rep was talking to me. Why would their supervisor allowed a baby in the office?

The person who verified my deal the first time was Shaun Melville. Their deals might be real but do not trust anything from someone that work in the office with NO profesionalism!

I just got a call from a CE rep stating that we had "paid" for a vacation two years ago and never took it. She offered all of the amenities that John Arogon stated and said that for another $25.

we could reinstate the vacation we purchased with this one as well as be able to take another trip to the Bahamas, Hawaii or some other far away destination... how wonderful right? But it is not characteristic of myself or my husband to blindly purchase something over the phone like this, especially since we already own a timeshare. So after grilling her more and requesting an actual charge date from two years ago, I was put on hold for maybe a minute when she came back and said she was unable to find her supervisor, but was able to bypass the system and get into the databanks where she found that we never purchased anything.....

all in less than a minute (I know because I imediately called my husband and he barely answered the phone when she came back)

This entire conversation screamed scam to me being that she presented it as something that was due to us. Turned out we merely filled out a card two years ago.... for crying out loud.... really????

At Christmas theyre going to pull this???

NEVER would I use this company or recommend it!!!! :(

Casablanca Express.. Is now doing something different I guess.. I got a call

3 months ago from a sales man named "Chad" and he said that If I sent them $129 dollars, he would give me 2 nights at the Rivera resort hotel - $100 Discover card, $100 in food, and that me and my wife had to sit trough the seminar in Las Vegas while on vacation..

So when we got back and thought about it... it seems that there new way of doing business is better - I mean, we spent nothing truly to go to las vegas for 3 day and 2 nights, stayed in a nice room, ate a good meal - and got a $100 discover card (which is just our $129 "deposit" that we paid when they called to sell us this originally back)

Maybe this is why the are doing it like this...

Casablanca Express is pure scam. They will sell you the package, but they never have a room available.

I send them the tax money and then I couldn’t make that trip I cancel that and I was told to get my money back within a month but nothing happened.

I try to call them and they told me that somebody make mistake and I never got my money back. Be careful.
